The whole Hofhiens gang (34 total) crammed into one small room for FHE. Jake got a great introduction to the art of guns (he's the one aiming the gun in the corner of the picture at an otherwise very spiritual FHE) and WWF trampoline
(thank you older cousins!). The trampoline provided my sole-exercise. No, not from jumping, but from searching high and low for my kids' shoes on a several acre farm. Afton went almost everywhere barefoot. On one occasion her pink sparkle flip-flops were recovered mysteriously in the far right stall of the barn, mixed with chicken feed and chicken droppings. The beautiful beach, icy cold but not cold enough to stop good sand sculptures and/or sand angels...

Afton and her shoes made me laugh...as well as the last picture. I'll try to call you sometime today.
Leave it to boys to ruin a spiritual moment with a gun!
That was such a fun week- it's hard going back to regular life. I have some really cute pics of your family that I need to email you. I just posted some more on our blog too, so check it out.- Chrissy
Oh, I didn't hear about the horses! It does sound like a fabulous vacation. No horror stories other than pink shoes and chicken droppings? Go Shari!
