Sadly, the weekend we expected to get the sander and spend all weekend getting that done, we had a water line leak near the water meter. The neighbor discovered it since it is a few feet on his property (nothing we could do about that). The next day I helped him dig out the bushes he'd planted around it and supplied pots to help him salvage them. Apparently the water leak was his tipping point because he came over and angrily explained he was going to list the house for sale. He needed us to move out of his basement apartment a few weeks earlier than agreed upon so the realtor could take pictures. The bad news for us was we also got to move out and clean on our already busy weekend. And we got to move into our house and spend the first few nights commuting from Afton until we got the basic necessities situated. Apparently we needed a gentle nudge to get going faster than we already were going!
In better news, we lucked out with getting a free pile of trim that Jenkins was needing to get rid of. Supposedly it was from a home in Jackson. They overbought and wanted it gone so it set at the boneyard for the last 4 years. Here's hoping it goes a long way.
