This Friday we closed on our construction loan. We wished we’d have set our interest rate at the lowest it’s been in forever but alas, we were 2 weeks slow but still set our interest rate at 3.25 which is amazing!
The appraiser came a week before and due to so many million dollar homes selling around us, we had no problem getting the amount we needed and were shocked at the amount. By diy-ing most of it, we were about 60% loan to equity and gave us a better interest rate.
Lest you think the work is all done, still much to be done! The pantry has started and every day I work a bit on sanding down the mantle. And I’ve been putting a few pictures up! And sewing curtains! But overall, we get to relax a bit and enjoy our progress!

The supervisor checking out my work in the pantry
Curtain hemming and sewing (got for a steal of a deal of 4 panels and the rod for $50)
Just enough privacy but still get to see my view while not giving a view :)
